I feel as though things are occuring around me that no one wishes to speak to me about. Were it strangers or simply marginally close friends, I would not mind overmuch, but it is my family and those close to us or them that are behaving so strangely. The idea that they are hiding things is disconcerting, despite the fact I myself have hid something more than once from another while here.

I really am very pleased with how the equipment turned out. I have never held that great an interest in Quidditch beyond simply fulfilling my role as a loyal House spectator, but the challenge of creating each piece and making them as exactly like the equipment from our time was rather fun, in all honesty. I wonder if I could make a broom as good as the one Bastan bought a few months ago... or even better than that one.

I am afraid I did not get nearly close enough to the other numbers I have seen within the pages of this journal, as I went rather off track by eventually just naming them or their constellations instead of keeping a proper count. I do wish I could get a closer look at some of them with the sky so clear. I am horrible with history, are there telescopes in any form in the Isles right now?

I discovered today that despite the key to the prefect's bathroom I hold being from 1974, there is, thankfully, still a bathroom in that same spot and also, my key still works with a tiny bit of help.
However, that I discovered this because I was seeking a bath after being unceremoniously tripped somehow does not please me. I do hope that those who might, in their own time, be prone to surprising the student body with their clever spellwork are not still hoping to exercise such talent so maliciously here this means you, Sirius, do not make me unhappy after finding out how well you are doing. Breaking someone's bones when they fall down the stairs or introducing all sort of diseases through open wounds is not a very smart idea when we may not have what we need at hand to cure people.

Just a short while ago I was arguing with someone while leaning on a windowsill looking out at snow. Now, there is no snow and some very unfamiliar but friendly woman somehow suddenly appeared and handed me this journal and then just walked away. I believe she said I was to use it to introduce myself, perhaps? I have no idea why she was speaking so old a language nor why I would need any introduction at Hogwarts, honestly.
I am Narcissa Black. It was January a short while ago and now it is somehow not, the castle looks very... odd and there was a person with me who has suddenly disappeared, along with the snow.
What exactly is going on? |
